	Ekushey February was observed by Mississippi Bangla Academy on February 21, 2009, at Vineyard Church , Brandon, Mississippi. The program initiated with a cultural program including recitations, chorus, duet and solo songs.
American Cancer Society Relay for Life 2008

	Mississippi Bangla Academy and Friends Relay for Life Team hosted a family friendly cultural event showcasing Bengali music, dance and cuisine to benefit the American Cancer society Relay for Life – 2008. The program was held at the Broadmeadow United Methodist Church in Jackson on April 13, 2008.
Eid Reunion 2007

	The children artists of Mississippi Bangla Academy presented a cultural program at the annual Eid Reunion held on October 20, 2007, at the local Ascension Lutheran Church, Jackson, Mississippi. The audience was entertained with a magic show, chorus, duet and solo songs, instrumental and recitations.  An open floor adult performance followed the children’s presentation.
American Cancer Society Relay for Life 2007

	Mississippi Bangla Academy (MBA) proudly participated in the “Relay for life”, a fund raising event, sponsored by American Cancer Society (ACS).  Children and adults from local Bangali community enthusiastically joined this relay. This endeavor was to show our support to those whose lives have been touched by cancer.  The relay was held at Millsaps College football stadium on Friday, May the 4^th, 2007, and was featured in the local newspaper.   MBA established a food stall and organized a children's cultural program.  The  Campsite Food Championship award went to MBA. Fund generated at this event was donated to ACS.
Poleha Baishakh 1414 (2007)

	Pohela Baishakh, the first day of Bnagla New Year,  was celebrated with a cultural program by Mississippi Bangali Community  on April 14, 2007,  at Tougaloo College Holmes Auditorium, Jackson, Mississippi.  The program included recitations, dances, instrumental, and  solo, duet and chorus songs.

	This program was organized by "International Mother Language Day Celebration Committee", and was held on March 3, 2007,  at Tougaloo College Holmes Auditorium, Jackson , Mississippi. The program included children's Art and Essay competitions and a cultural program. 	Eid Reunion was held on November 11, 2006, at Tougaloo College Holmes Auditorium, Jackson, Mississippi. The program was initiated with  a children's fashion show followed by a cultural program including recitations, jokes, songs, and a solo Bangla drama.
